Active since the late 2000s, Ak’chamel has self-released numerous cassettes and VHS works and issued full-length LPs on the French label Akuphone, including The Totemist (2020), A Mournful Kingdom of Sand (2023), Rawskulled (2024) and Spiritually Unemployed (2026). Their theatrical live shows—performed in homemade costumes and masks—have toured internationally and earned coverage from outlets such as VICE and The Wire.
