Barragoon is an experimental DJ project started in 2010 by myself Julian Barragan. At an early I've always had a knack for mixing songs I loved together in my head. It seemed only natural that I would take it upon myself to dive deep into the world of creating music, mixes, and sounds to make the listeners think. Coming from a family of musicians it was only a matter of time before I found the right instrument for me. This instrument started out as a numark controller and eventually branched out to the classic technic 1200 mkII. after adjusting to the feeling of vinyl at my fingertips I went on to discover other methods of music performance. Maschine, various guitar pedals, traktor Z2 mixer, and many other audio interfaces. Keeping the idea of spontaneity alive, my live setup often changes. This creates a sense of surprise for both the listener and myself. If something feels comfortable, then you're not doing it right. Enjoy. Listen. Share. Do what you please. As long as you keep an open mind, I'm sure you will find a way to create your own take on this project.
