William Nathan Boyd (born 28 August 1968) is a Scottish actor and musician best known for playing Peregrin 'Pippin' Took in Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings film trilogy. He wrote and sang the on-screen Pippin song 'The Edge of Night' and co-wrote/performed 'The Last Goodbye' for The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. Boyd fronts the Glasgow band Beecake and has recorded and performed with them internationally.
