George "Buddy" Guy (born July 30, 1936) is an American guitarist and singer who has recorded and performed since the 1950s and influenced generations of musicians. He has won nine Grammy Awards, received the National Medal of Arts and Kennedy Center Honors, and founded the long-running club Buddy Guy's Legends.
