Don Was (Don Fagenson) is the co-founder and longtime bassist of Was (Not Was) and a multi?Grammy?winning record producer. He produced landmark records including Bonnie Raitt’s Nick of Time and has worked with artists such as The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan and Brian Wilson. Since 2012 he has served as president of Blue Note Records and continues to lead projects under his own name (e.g., Don Was and the Pan?Detroit Ensemble).
