Henry Highland Garnet (1815–1882) was an African American abolitionist, Presbyterian minister, and orator known for his 1843 "Call to Rebellion." He became the first Black person to deliver a sermon in the U.S. House of Representatives on February 12, 1865, and later served as a U.S. diplomat to Liberia.
