Insomniac formed around 2017 and released their debut album Om Moksha Ritam on Blues Funeral Recordings in September 2025. They have issued official videos for singles like "Mountain" and "Awakening" and have been touring the U.S., including festival appearances. The band announced a record-label signing and continued touring activity during the album rollout.
