Jason Roebke is a double bassist and composer active in the Chicago improvised-music scene. He leads an octet whose releases include High/Red/Center (Delmark, 2014) and Cinema Spiral (NoBusiness, 2016), and has issued solo and small-ensemble recordings. He studied with Roscoe Mitchell and received an Illinois Arts Council Fellowship in Music Composition in 2009.
