Founded in the early 2000s by singer Sergio Gómez and fellow musicians, K-Paz de la Sierra quickly achieved commercial success with multiple charting records and international tours. Founder and lead vocalist Sergio Gómez was murdered in December 2007; the band restructured afterward and has continued to record and tour under new lineups. They have received industry recognition including Lo Nuestro awards and collaborations with notable Latin artists.
