Katinka Kleijn is a Dutch-born cellist and interdisciplinary performer who has been a member of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra since 1995 and is also active with the International Contemporary Ensemble. She premiered Dai Fujikura’s cello concerto at Lincoln Center in 2016 and is known for experimental projects such as Intelligence in the Human-Machine and the performance Water on the Bridge. Kleijn appears on recordings for labels including Cedille and Drag City and frequently collaborates across contemporary-classical and improvisational music scenes.
