Luke Pytel formed his own band in 2008 after years working as a sideman on the Chicago blues scene, backing artists such as Jimmy Burns, Chico Banks, Ronnie Hicks and Big James. The Luke Pytel Band regularly headlines major Chicago blues venues (including Blue Chicago, Buddy Guy's Legends, House of Blues and Rosa's Lounge) and performs at blues festivals across the Midwest.
