Marco Antonio Solís co-founded the band Los Bukis in the 1970s and served as its lead vocalist, songwriter and guitarist before launching a solo career with his 1996 debut En Pleno Vuelo. He is a prolific songwriter whose compositions have been recorded by many Latin artists and has more than thirty Billboard Hot Latin Tracks entries. Solís has won multiple major awards (including five Latin Grammys), has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and was named the Latin Recording Academy’s Person of the Year in 2022.
