Marques Carroll leads his eponymous quintet and has released the albums The Ancestors' Call and Foundations on JMarq Records. He co-founded JMarq Records, is a permanent sub-member of the Count Basie Orchestra, and received an Emmy for his contributions to the documentary Invisible History: Middle Florida’s Hidden Roots (2021).
