Dame Mitsuko Uchida (born 20 December 1948) is a Japanese–English pianist and conductor celebrated for her interpretations of Mozart, Beethoven and Schubert. She was appointed Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 2009, has received major awards including Gramophone and Grammy recognition, and is co-artistic director of the Marlboro Music School and Festival.
