Moor Mother is the recording name of Camae Ayewa, an American poet, musician, and activist who co-founded the Black Quantum Futurism collective and co-leads the groups Irreversible Entanglements and 700 Bliss. Her debut Fetish Bones and subsequent releases have received wide critical acclaim across music and arts press. She works across performance, visual art and community organizing and has held an academic role in composition at USC Thornton School of Music.
