Mountain Grass Unit formed around the long-running musical bond between Drury Anderson, Luke Black, Sam Wilson, and Josiah Nelson and has built a national touring presence, selling out more than 30 shows in 2025. The group won the IBMA Momentum Band of the Year award and has performed at major festivals while preparing their debut studio album Appalachian Smoke, scheduled for release on August 28, 2026.
