About
Formed while studying at Oberlin College & Conservatory, Poiesis Quartet has become notable for commissioning and premiering works by emerging composers. The ensemble won First Prize and the Commission Prize at the 2025 Banff International String Quartet Competition, joined the Concert Artists Guild roster in 2024, and was named a recipient of Chamber Music America’s 2026 Cleveland Quartet Award. They have held residencies at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and performed at international festivals and major North American venues.
