"Second Chances is the brainchild of 25-year-old Mississippi native Kyle Segars. Boasting a unique blend of pop and alternative rock, Kyle plays most of his gigs with nothing but an acoustic guitar and the most passion you've ever seen pour out of a person. His stage presence is undeniably fun and serious; Dan Layus of Augustana said, "He really knows how to work a crowd."
Having shared the stage with Never Shout Never, Mayday Parade, Manchester Orchestra, Stephen Jerzak, The Spill Canvas, Augustana, Deas Veil, and many other noteworthy acts, Kyle has proven time and time again that he is more than capable of hanging with the big guys. Even Zach Myers of Shinedown said, "This guy knows how to write a song."
The combination of catchy songwriting and a strong personality both on and off the stage has given Segars quite a fan base in the Memphis area. His last two album releases drew a combined 800 people, which speaks volumes in a scene overtaken by metal.
