Born in Prince George's County, Maryland and having grown up on the eastern shore, Sophie Gault was first influenced by her father's love for the Stones. Learning from her father and some eastern shore greats like Mike Armstrong and Darin Engh, she began with a roots style and has emerged as an Americana singer/songwriter. Her energy, rich voice, and foot-stomping guitar playing are what define her performances.
