Steve Hackman is a composer, conductor, arranger and producer who studied piano at the University of Illinois and conducting at the Curtis Institute of Music. He is best known for large-scale orchestral fusions (e.g., Brahms X Radiohead, Beethoven X Beyoncé, Tchaikovsky X Drake) and his multi-part project THE BRINK, and has conducted and premiered works with numerous major U.S. orchestras. Hackman has collaborated with artists such as Charlie Puth, Steve Lacy and Doja Cat, was part of the 2024 Academy Awards writing team, and taught a course at the Juilliard School in 2023.
