Steven Pinker is a Canadian?American experimental cognitive psychologist and author who is the Johnstone Family Professor in Harvard’s Department of Psychology. He has written bestselling books including The Language Instinct, How the Mind Works, and The Better Angels of Our Nature and is a member of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences. Pinker holds a BA from McGill and a PhD from Harvard and frequently appears as a public lecturer and commentator.
