Stingray Central is the long-time solo project of John Stenger that began as a bedroom-recording project in 2016 and expanded into collaborative releases. Notable releases include the album Sleeping Quarters (2017) and EPs Green (2020) and Back Up (2024). Stenger was a core member of The Darling Suns until their mid-2025 disbanding and began performing live with a group of musicians in 2026.
