Susan Graham (born July 23, 1960) is an American mezzo-soprano who has sung leading roles at major houses including the Metropolitan Opera and Royal Opera House and has premiered contemporary operas such as John Harbison’s The Great Gatsby, Jake Heggie’s Dead Man Walking, and Tobias Picker’s An American Tragedy. She has an extensive discography, won the 2004 Grammy Award for Best Classical Vocal Performance (Ives: Songs), and has been honored by the French government (Order of Arts and Letters).
