The Fighting Side is the latest great band to come out from the drunken underbelly of South City St. Louis. From the barstool yearning blues of "Fix Me" and "NYE" to the honky tonk sounds of "Dare You" and "Slow it on Down," The Fighting Side shows that even the baddest looking motherfucker in the room can have a poet's heart. As in their debut album, Soggy Afternoon, their upcoming new record feels as though it belongs in another time, after Elvis and before the Beatles with the amps dared to be turned up a little louder. Lead singer Brad Jackson's voice has a growl that pleads and therein lies the truth of the band. With straight ahead blues rock soaked in whiskey and Alt-Country, The Fighting Side is the band you party and reflect with, a statement that everything in this world has another way to be looked at and appreciated.
