Formed after members met in a college theater club, The Toxhards began releasing singles in 2021 and gained viral attention with tracks like "Ængus the Prize-Winning Hog." The band signed to Hopeless Records in 2023 and released the album Your Neighborhood in 2025 while developing a reputation for theatrical, high-energy live shows. In July 2024 they announced the departure of guitarist Matt Garcia.
