“Tromblau” is the performing name of Emma Blau, a trombonist, composer, DJ, and Jewish educator who leads the collective Tromblau & Friends. Formed in May 2022, the project has performed around Chicago at venues and festivals including the Chicago Jazz Festival and the MCA’s Tuesdays on the Terrace, and Blau has collaborated with musicians such as Rob Mazurek and Jaribu Shahid.
