Underworld is the long-running British electronic project centred on Karl Hyde and Rick Smith, formed in 1987. They rose to international prominence after 'Born Slippy.NUXX' featured on the Trainspotting soundtrack and released landmark albums such as Dubnobasswithmyheadman (1994) and Second Toughest in the Infants (1996). The duo have contributed to major cultural projects (including the London 2012 Olympics opening ceremony) and have run experimental initiatives like the 2018–ongoing Drift series.
