Venus

Bend je osnovan u rujnu 2006. kao trio, u sastavu Anita Sunjic (gitara), Ana Puljic (leadvocal) i Martina Bosnjak (violoncello). Prve 2 godine postojanja obilježilo je nastupanje u obližnjim gradovima, a dogodilo se i gostovanje u Sloveniji. Stvari se polako mijenjaju sudjelovanjem benda na festivalu “Demo fest” u Banja Luci 2008., na kojem stižu u finale zajedno sa 5 bendova. Dotadasnjem sastavu prikljucuje se i bubnjarica Vesna Pazin. Na lokalnim festivalima redovno su osvajale jedno od prva 4 mjesta, a kao najbitniji nastup do tada izdvajaju onaj u Domu mladih u Sarajevu kao predgrupa Nevernim bebama u travnju 2009.godine. Venus je nastupao i u Strasbourgu (Francuska) kao predstavnik Bosne i Hercegovine u Vijeću Europe. Povećao se broj nastupa tijekom godine, kao i bend kojem se priključila Barbara Rozić na bas gitari. Prvi dogadjaj na kojem je trebalo pokazati novi zvuk bio je novi show na televiziji OBN: “Rat bendova”. Venus je dostigao šesto mjesto nakon 2 mjeseca emitiranja u spomenutom showu. Zahvaljujući tome dogodile su se mnogobrojne ponude i pozivi te se povećao broj ljudi koji uživaju u glazbi koju stvara ovaj bend. Početkom 2010. bend nastavlja rad bez dotadašnjeg vokala. Danas Venus nastupa kao kvartet i kao bitnu bilješku u svojoj povijesti spominje nastup kao predgrupa bendu Let 3 u Sarajevu. Nakon dvomjesečne pauze nastupile su i na 1. Brodskom rock kampu u Slavonskom Brodu i time prvi put predstavili svoj rad u Hrvatskoj. Bilo je to ujedno i prvo predstavljanje novog zuka, kao i novog rock repertoara. Vrlo brzo nakon toga dogodio se u ovoj godini najvazniji nastup na Banja Luka Rock Open Air-u 2010. Pored klasicnih svirki, Venusice se uvijek odazovu i kada su u pitanju humanitarni koncerti, na kojima su gotovo uvijek prisutne. Novi repertoar donio je Venusu prvu motorijadu i odlične reakcije. I ove godine cure su nastupale na WHF-u i postigle 3. mjesto. Onda je bilo vrijeme za jednu kratku pauzu posto Venus ne zna za duge stanke. Nakon toga nastavljaju punom parom, što sa svirkama, što sa autorskim radom. Danas, nakon vise od 4 godine postojanja spominje se pojam - endem BiH glazbene scene. The band was founded in the 2006th as a trio and in that time has made its first beginnings in their hometown. From the very beginning band felt the support of the media and public because it was the first known female rock band in our country. The first 2 years of existence were marked by the appearances in nearby towns, and band also had its first show in Slovenia. Things are slowly changing in the festival "Demo Fest" in Banja Luka, the 2008th, which brought girls to the finals along with 5 bands. More and more people found out about Venus. One more member became the part of the family. Venus finally found the drummer. In this composition, there have been many important things. At local festivals regularly won one of the first 5 places. The most important performance was appearance in Youth House (Dom Mladih) in Sarajevo as the opening act for Neverne bebe in April 2009. Venus has performed in Strasbourg (France) as the representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina to representatives of the Council of Europe. The number of performances increased during the year, and the band brought bass to their sound. The first event which was supposed to show the new sound was a new show on OBN television "Rat bendova" (The Battle of bands). Venus has reached sixth place after 2 months of broadcasting and advertising in the show mentioned above. Thanks to this, there have been numerous offers and invitations, and more and more people enjoy this music created by this band. In 2010 band continues to work without the earlier singer. Today, Venus appears as a quartet and as an important event in history the band mentioned the opening act performance for a band Let 3 in Sarajevo. Two months later Venus went to “First rock camp” in Slavonski Brod and for the first time presented the work in Croatia. It was also the first presentation of the new rock songs from the list. The most important performance was at Banja Luka Rock Open Air in 2010. New songs had to be played in hometown and in the region. The girls did two charity performances to assist in raising funds for those who needed it most. The first concert took place in Kantarevac and it was for young man Bojan, together with other colleagues. The second occurred in Posušje where they joined forces with other musicians and riders to raise money for children. New songs brought Venus to first Moto concert and excellent reactions. The girls also performed at WHF and won the third place. Then it was a time for a short break. Venus doesn’t make long pauses.
