Will Wood began releasing music under the name Will Wood and the Tapeworms in 2015 and issued the studio albums Everything Is a Lot (2015) and Self-ish (2016). A 2018 live album, The Real Will Wood, later served as the soundtrack to a mockumentary concert film; Wood is known for theatrical, high-energy live shows and for speaking openly about his experiences with mental health. He has run crowdfunding campaigns for later releases and operates an official website and Patreon for direct fan support.
