Jose Luis Contreras is a Chilean composer, multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and educator whose musical journey began at the age of ten. An accomplished master of his craft, he spent over a decade touring internationally and recording with Illapu, the world-renowned Chilean folk and Andean musical ensemble. Now based in Chicago, Jose infuses his diverse musical roots into his lifelong devotion to Latin jazz and global rhythms.
