Fredrick "Fritz" Douglass Pollard is a Chicago born, Lane Tech High School graduate. In 1921 he earned another distinction becoming the first African American head coach in NFL history when the Pros named him co-coach of the team. Join us for this special workshop program that brings to the forefront the story of Fritz and his history making impact in Chicago and in football.
This is family friendly program designed to learn about the life and legacy of Fritz Pollard. Participants of this workshop will design their own felt pennant that represents their favorite team, community, hobby, idea or all of the above.
