The Arts Center of Oak Park is a Neoclassical performance venue in downtown Oak Park whose upstairs auditorium seats up to 700 and features a built?in Kimball pipe organ, hosting concerts, recitals, and special events. The building began life as the First Church of Christ, Scientist (constructed in 1916), was converted into an arts center in 1988 by owner Chatka Ruggiero, and in 2020 was sold to Free Church while continuing to serve as a community performance space that regularly hosts Candlelight concerts. Its central location places it steps from Oak Park’s dining and shopping core around Lake Street and North Boulevard.
