Blackstone Branch of the Chicago Public Library is a historic Beaux?Arts library opened in 1904 as CPL’s first purpose?built branch, designed by Solon S. Beman and noted for a Tiffany?style dome and rotunda murals by Oliver Dennett Grover. Located in Chicago’s Kenwood community near Hyde Park, the building was designated a Chicago Landmark on December 8, 2010, and today hosts a full slate of neighborhood programs and classes.
