Canaryville, Chicago Public Library

The Canaryville Branch of Chicago Public Library is a neighborhood library serving the historic Canaryville area of the New City community with collections, computer access, and frequent family and adult programs. Opened on June 1, 2001, the branch features public art funded through the City’s Percent for Art program, including photographs of Canaryville residents by Iwona Biedermann and works by Claire Pentecost. It’s a low-key community hub near Bridgeport and Back of the Yards, offering a quiet setting for study, meetings, and local events.
