About

Legler Regional Library is the West Side’s regional branch of Chicago Public Library, anchoring West Garfield Park at 115 S. Pulaski Road. Reopened in 2019 for its 100th anniversary after a yearlong renovation that added a maker lab, recording studio, and an artist-in-residence studio, the branch resumed its historic regional role serving the West Side. In 2026, Legler launched Chicago’s first full-service food pantry inside a public library, underscoring its role as a community hub.
