South Shore, Chicago Public Library

The South Shore Branch of Chicago Public Library is a neighborhood library serving the South Shore community with collections, programs, study rooms, a reservable meeting room, and a YOUmedia recording studio for teens. The historic branch at 2505 E 73rd St reopened in March 2020 after a $2.5 million renovation that added the YOUmedia lab and building upgrades to the roughly 90-year-old facility. Located on East 73rd Street in the heart of South Shore, it anchors local cultural programming and services for residents.
